Royal Horticultural Society’s Applebee Dinnerware, A Springtime Luncheon with Friends

Spring Luncheon, Royal Horticultural Society, Applebee Collection

Welcome to the 711th Tablescape Thursday!

What better way to kick off spring than gathering together with good friends!

Royal Horticultural Society's, Applebee Collection for a Springtime Luncheon

Norma, who lives in the beautiful countryside of France, recently had friends over for a lovely springtime luncheon. For this luncheon, she covered her table with a lovely hand-embroidered cloth with the Spring flowers out over the table. Norma said, “I have had it for about 25 years and I found it in a second-hand shop.”

What a beautiful tablecloth! This makes me want to look for vintage embroidered linens when I’m out antiquing.

Norma created a beautiful bouquet of flowers for her centerpiece, adding two smaller vases of flowers on either side. I love how the smaller vases of flowers continue the lovely floral centerpiece across the table.

Beautiful!

Notice how the napkin rings so beautifully coordinate with the floral-covered salad plates we see peeking out underneath.

Norma shared that she found these wonderful salad plates on eBay for a “bargain.” They are by Villeroy and Boch and the pattern is Clarissa. I love how perfectly the salad plates go with the flower embroidered tablecloth!

Norma also found this beautiful Royal Horticultural Society’s Applebee Collection china on eBay. What a beautiful pattern! I wonder what kind of flower is in the center of the plate? Could it be a peony or perhaps a Chrysanthemum? Norma placed a pretty crystal knife rest at each place setting. That’s a great way to try and protect beautiful vintage tablecloths from being stained.

Such an elegant table for a special dinner with friends! Thanks so much to Norma for sharing this wonderful spring luncheon setting!
